Food Access Program

Cobblestone Farmer’s Market’s Food Access Program, which works to make fresh produce and food available to families on government assistance (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program/EBT and Farmers Market Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children) is available both our Saturday Market in Old Salem and our Wednesday Market downtown on Highland Avenue at the Forsyth County Health Department.

The market offers a Bonus Bucks Program that gives SNAP/EBT participants $5 for every market visit, with a $5 withdrawal, as well as matches FMNP WIC funds dollar for dollar. (Cobblestone Farmers Market tokens can only be spent at our market.)

Have SNAP/EBT?  Here is how it works:

  1. Decide how much to spend at the market.
  2. Come to the Information Booth in the center of the market
  3. Tell the person working at the information booth how much you want to spend. The person will swipe your card and give you $1 wooden tokens to spend at the market. They will also match what you spend, up to $5, in Bonus Bucks tokens. Spend $10 and get $15 to spend at the market!
  4. Use tokens at any stand that sells SNAP/EBT eligible products.  No change can be given.
  5. You can save your tokens and spend them on other days. They never expire! Cobblestone Farmers Market tokens can only be spent at our market.
