SUPPORT

The government shutdown is now in its 2nd month which we sincerely hope that it will end soon. Access to basic needs including food are increasing and affecting many of our neighbors right here in Winston Salem.  Once an income close to or below the living wage is compromised, the first personal budget decisions made are how to stretch available funds as far as possible for the most basic needs.

Beginning this Saturday, Cobblestone is increasing its SNAP/EBT Match to $10 per market to help families provide increased more spending power for food choices while they navigate these uncertain times.

No secret that Cobblestone is dedicated to food access for all and we are kicking up our dollar investment in our community as well as working with other organizations such as Second Harvest Food Bank to help address the increase of food needs NOW as well as how to prepare for the potential ripple effect if federal funding is withheld.  Please join us in helping our neighbors, share the $10 match opportunity and any/all  initiatives that you may be working on/aware of so more folks may help as they are able.

Thank you for making our community stronger by your own gifts of kindness and your support of our producers as well as our food access program.
