October is American Cheese Month

October 6, 2018

October is American Cheese Month aka Cheese made in America, not plastic wrapped squares or whizzed in cans!
American Cheese Month is a grassroots celebration of North America’s delicious and diverse cheeses, and the farmers, cheesemakers, retailers, cheesemongers, and chefs who bring them to your table.
So….what do we do with that? Test out as many cheeses as you are able in every form possible from the pure taste on fresh bread or fruits like apples and pears! Then move on to grilled sammies, AU GRATINS, salads , pastas, and much more! Please let us know what you do and we will post it for others to learn cool ways to enjoy artisan cheese made in America!

What is up for our FALL Season as well as some of our farms that are BOUNCING BACK form Florence?
Our vendor tables are FULL of incredible fall bounty which includes…arugula, BEANS, peppers, turnips, a few ‘maters, sweet potatoes, winter squash of all kinds, apples, persimmons, onions, lettuces, beets, carrots, herbs, and more!
Bouncing back – some of our vendors listed below will return soon with gorgeous product that is coming in well after being pummeled by the hurricane. For the most part, producers are feeling lucky however the storm hits have had significant reverberations in the fields which may have taken out some crops, diminished the yield or simply slowed the growth. Producers are planting double time to make up for the early fall yields and have plenty ready for late fall/early winter. These heroes of the earth and hand are extra busy in order to bring YOU the best as quickly and consistently as possible. Please celebrate our producers with us at market every week and with each meal, sip or snack!

Our customers ROCK – thanks for being the biggest constellation of STARS anywhere!
